Keto-friendly Pizza + Healthy Oil Swaps

A pizza crust made out of ground chicken! A low carb pizza crust that is so easy to make with only 3 ingredients and ready in about 30 minutes.


  • 1 Pound Ground Chicken

  • 1/2 Cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (psst, we like this one!)

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (this is a good one!)

  • Organic Pizza sauce

  • Your favorite pizza toppings


  1. Pre-heat the oven to 400F.

  2. Add the ground chicken, cheese, italian seasoning and salt to a bowl. Mix thoroughly with your hands.

  3. Dump the mixture on a piece of parchment paper and spread into a pizza shape about 1/2 inch thick.

  4. Place the pizza crust and the parchment paper on a rimmed baking sheet snd bake for 20 minutes.

  5. Remove from the oven and add your favorite pizza toppings. (I added pizza sauce and more cheese!)

  6. Bake for an additional 10 minutes.Remove from the oven and cool slightly.  Slice and serve.

Healthy Oil Swaps

Healthy fats are critical for good health: they’re incorporated into our body cells and help create their structure. Building cells from healthy, natural fats is ideal, but unfortunately, man-made, highly processed, unhealthy fats are pervasive.

Look through your pantry, cabinets, and refrigerator and toss the following oils, along with any product that lists one of these as an ingredient and swap them for healthier fats listed below:

  • Crisco

  • Vegetable oil

  • Canola oil

  • Corn oil

  • Cottonseed oil

  • Soybean oil

  • Crisco and other butter-like spreads

  • Anything hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated

Try these health swaps instead:

  • Real butter (preferably grass-fed)

  • Exta-virgin olive oil

  • Avocado oil

  • Animal fats from pasteurized animals (bacon fat)

  • Coconut oil

  • lard from pasteurized animals

  • Palm shortening
